WHEN CAN YOU START? ::  Direct Placements

While the majority of placements take place through the EPIK Biannual Intakes a number of provinces and metro’s prefer to hire some or even all of their EFL teachers themselves and engage agencies directly bypassing EPIK to do so. Hence the term Direct Placement. These placements are ideal for applicants who do not want to wait for the next EPIK intake and are willing to go on standby to interview and leave at sometimes short notice.

Most direct placements happen between February and June and again between August and November. These posts open sporadically on demand and great flexibility and a willingness to move quickly and decisively on the part of the applicant is very important. The contracts accessed through Direct Placement are identical in every way to those accessed through the EPIK Program including Salary Levels, Contracts, benefits, vacations and allowances.
